My Professional Journey
Explore the stages of my career.
Back to School
After graduating from high school in 1995 I started my studies on the Budapest University of Technology on the faculty for Computer Science Engineering. My specializations were Fault Tolerant Systems and Intelligent Robotics.
First steps in Enterprise IT
While still studying I started working for HP as a Service Engineer. I repaired laptops and PCs for half a year.
Later I was selected by Kraft Jacobs Suchard (now Mondelez) to coordinate their Y2K project. I learned much more about Enterprise IT in these 18 month than on the University. I had to understand the inner workings and the potential variabilities of all aspects of the companies IT and production systems and all processes that are dependent on IT solutions.
Becoming a Solution Architect
In 2000 I joined Compaq (now HP) as a consultant. I was part of the SAP consulting team, focusing on Document and Data Archiving, BPR and Workflow Solutions. I started up as a hands on delivery person, later became a Solution Architect.
The Specialist
In 2003 (age 26) I packed up my things and joined a small boutique consulting company named Dolphin GmbH, to work as a Solution Architect, connecting SAP ERPs to Documentum and IXOS (content management systems) for Fortune 100 clients. The company was acquired by EMC in the same year, and so our client base got even larger. I worked for BASF, BMW, E-ON, Gillette, Heineken, Johnson & Johnson, KONE, Lonza, MAN, Nestle, Nokia, Pepsi, Raiffeisen, Richemont, Rohde & Schwarz, Springer, TechData. I had project engagements in 20+ countries on three continents.
The smallest engagements were architectural workshops, the largest one was an end-to-end account payable workflow design, implementation and world wide rollout, lasting almost three years.
Switching to sales
In 2009 I’ve let myself convinced that I should become a sales person. I joined IBM as a Brand Manager for Content Management Products (FileNet and Content Manager). I graduated from the Global Sales School with distinction and was even selected for the Top Sales Talent program.
As a newcomer to sales I had to learn many things, from forecasting, over to sales methodologies to C level stakeholder management. In this role I had to manage the brand’s partner ecosystem, direct sales activities, but also the marketing activities.
Finding a new home
In December 2010 I was offered a new opportunity at Oracle, where I became a Regional Sales Executive for the Fusion Middleware portfolio. I was covering Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia & Bulgaria, focusing on direct- and indirect sales, managing the partners and distributors, but also carrying a direct sales quota.
After four years in the job, a new opportunity called: I switched positions to become Sales Manager for the exSUN hardware division. Historically the annual revenue was 200k. With focus and dedication I managed to grow it to steady 5M+ per annum. As a recognition I was invited to the President’s Club in Hawaii in 2017, on to of many regional awards.
Salesforce
In late 2018 I decided to change my life. Away from the beautiful, but severely stressful world of sales back to consulting. In the beginning I focused on sales management advisory, helping Hungarian large SMB companies re-design their sales strategies and go-to-market models. Later – with a friend of mine – we founded Salesdrive with the goal to become Salesforce partners and start a new chapter in CRM consulting.
My journey started with a Trailhead account and a lot of enthusiasm. Then we built a CRM for our own little company, later one for a friend and a friend’s friend. The client base grew, the project became larger and more complex.
We focused on Sales Cloud and Platform based custom solutions. We migrated smaller CRM solutions (Zoho, HubSpot) to Salesforce. We built integrations to ERPs and many custom solutions.
Danfoss – green field Salesforce re-implementation
In 2022 my co-founder left Salesdrive and I felt prepared enough to test my knowledge in an enterprise setting, So I joined Danfoss as Salesforce Lead Consultant.
Danfoss re-implemented their existing old Salesforce system, as a green field project, with tight integration to the SAP backends. I worked on the Sales Cloud team, as hands on consultant (from user story to design, deployment in Copado, testing and documenting). On top of it I acted as one of the project’s Solution Architects, taking part in all system wide design decisions. I also coordinated the work of a small team of external consultants.
Nokia – After Sales Support solution
In early 2023 I joined Nokia as Salesforce Service Cloud Product Owner, overseeing the companies word wide Service Cloud implementation.
At Nokia I was working on the IT side. I worked tightly with the business side Process Owner, who maintained the business backlog. I coordinated the implementation efforts with two Technical Architects and the offshore development team.
I also acted as the main contact to discuss new requirements and potential issues with all high level stakeholders.
In 2023 I was awarded to visit Dreamforce in San Francisco.
bp – Building a Salesforce team
In 2024 I was approached by bp for the role of Solution Manager, focusing on bp’s Global Case & Interaction Management solution, based on Service Cloud and Genesys Cloud.
At bp my main task was to establish a new team of Salesforce and Genesys Solution Architects in Hungary and India. I spent month understanding the market, digging through CVs, hunting for potential candidates to contact on LinkedIn. Then interviewed countless candidates, negotiated internal and external parties to get the best people for the right positions.
After that I had to onboard everyone, build a team, establish governance and working standards.
At the same time all the internal stakeholders – from shared service team leaders up to VPs – accepted no hiccups in the 24/7 working of the solution, so that need to be upheld, as well…
Back to Salesdrive
Late 2025 I decided to take a leap of faith and try to stand on my own two feet. I’ve woken up Salesdrive from its slumber and started working on Salesforce projects on contract basis.
My real dream is though to find the right company, who would like to have a subsidiary in Hungary and is looking for the right, reliable partner to support the idea.
